At Semillita, we take user privacy very seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

1. Information We Collect

We distinguish between two completely independent systems:

Analytics (Optional)

If you accept analytics consent, we collect:

  • How you use app features (without identifying you personally).
  • App feature usage patterns.
  • Device type and operating system.
Important: We do not collect your name, email, address or any data that directly identifies you. All information is pseudonymous — not directly linked to your identity, but associated with a per-device installation ID managed by Firebase (Google).

Newsletter (Optional and Separate)

If you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter through the web form, we collect:

  • Your email address.
  • Time zone and language settings from your device.
  • Browser/device language.
  • Subscription source.
  • Subscription date and time.
Your email is stored locally on your device and sent to our email marketing provider only to manage your subscription.

Provider: Brevo (formerly Sendinblue)

2. How We Use Your Information

Analytics (if accepted):

  • Improve app functionality.
  • Fix bugs and technical issues.
  • Understand which features are most useful.

Newsletter (if subscribed):

  • Send you stories and educational content.
  • Give you access to STAR content (exclusive content for subscribers).
  • Share tips and guides for families.
  • Send you commercial communications about products, services and content, both our own and from third parties, related to children's education and family.

3. Sharing Information

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes. We only share data with:

  • Firebase Analytics (Google): Pseudonymous app usage data (not linked to your identity).
  • Brevo: Your email and subscription technical data (only if you subscribe).

4. Data Storage

Local Storage (on your device):

The following data is saved only on your device:

  • Your newsletter email.
  • App preferences.
  • Story progress.
  • Ratings you give to stories.
  • Custom audio recordings with your voice.
Important about custom audio: If you delete the app or app data, you will lose all recorded audio. Semillita is not responsible for the loss of these files.

Cloud Storage:

Analytics data is sent to Firebase (pseudonymous, not directly linked to your identity). Your email and subscription data is sent to Brevo.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information.
  • Rectify incorrect data.
  • Delete your information (right to be forgotten: you can request that we delete all your data from our systems).
  • Object to the processing of your data.
  • Data portability (receive a copy in structured format).
  • Withdraw your consent at any time from the app.

6. Cookies (Web Only)

We implement security measures to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure. We recommend keeping your device updated.

8. Minors

Semillita is designed for family use. We do not intentionally collect personal information from minors. Parents are responsible for supervising app usage.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be notified to you through a prominent notice on the main screen of the app when you open it.

10. AI-Generated Content

Semillita's images and videos have been generated using generative artificial intelligence tools. This visual content is owned by Semillita and protected by copyright.
